Position Key Accountabilities:

Position Key Accountabilities:
- Providing training for residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as development of an individual and/or collaborative research program.
- Serving as a role model in professional behavior, leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborating with UTHealth, hospital administration, and physicians to identify future opportunities and define the direction of department services, and develop and implement plans to achieve identified goals.
- Maintaining professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-services, current literature, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in fields of expertise; supporting and promoting education and research.
- Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License (M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree)
- Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology
- Fellowship training in Hematopathology
