About the Role
UTEX is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team! This role is responsible for evaluating and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve performance, quality, and efficiency across our operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Independently develop and optimize manufacturing processes
Define and implement process variables, measurements, and controls
Write and revise process standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Train operators and quality technicians on new and existing processes
Apply Lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency and product quality
Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Product Engineers on new product development
Research and implement innovative manufacturing process capabilities
Manage process stability and continuously improve First-Pass Yield
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3 years of experience in process engineering or a related field
Proven experience managing manufacturing processes
Strong skills in process design and improvement
Proficiency in Lean manufacturing and quality control methodologies
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Combination of office and manufacturing environments
Moderate walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Must be able to conduct inspections and carry related equipment
Regular, predictable attendance required
Travel
Up to 50% travel required
