Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician documents and manages manufacturing systems to produce quality products. They are responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes are carried out in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Independently set up new part numbers in ERP, including all parameters.
- Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routers.
- Implement changes as directed by ECNs.
- Maintain and update all routing and process instructions/procedures in ERP.
- Generate and analyze costs for new and different designs to support quotations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Proficient in ERP systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
- Moderate walking and climbing
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; and stoop
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
You also will need to be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
