We are a manufacturer of precision elastomer and plastic seals serving oil & gas, mining, and water distribution markets, specializing in small-series production across 8,000 SKUs annually. We are seeking an experienced Machinist 1. This entry-level role is responsible for operating and maintaining machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn machining processes and techniques.

About The Role
We are a manufacturer of precision elastomer and plastic seals serving oil & gas, mining, and water distribution markets, specializing in small-series production across 8,000 SKUs annually. We are seeking an experienced Machinist 1. This entry-level role is responsible for operating and maintaining machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn machining processes and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and/or CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as required
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Record production data and report any issues or defects to supervisors
- Assist senior machinists with more complex setups and operations as needed
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts on the production floor
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training or certification in machining or manufacturing preferred
- [0–2 years] of machining or manufacturing experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
- Basic knowledge of machining tools, equipment, and measurement devices
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with CNC machining or G-code (basic level)
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments or shop practices
- Understanding of tolerances and quality control standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to [25–50 lbs]
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Experience in oil & gas, or industrial supply sectors.
- Exposure to high-SKU, low-volume / small-series manufacturing environments.
