This position requires fingerprinting and successful completion of a background check. Start date is July 29, 2026. Purpose The Instructional Assistant provides instructional, administrative, and student support to assist with daily campus operations and to support student learning. This position works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, counselors, and other staff to promote instructional continuity, student engagement, and effective school operations. Responsibilities Counselor and Registrar Support Provides general support related to student records, enrollment, and withdrawals. Assists with maintaining accurate documentation and data in accordance with district and state requirements. Communicates with appropriate campus staff regarding student information and record needs as directed. Instructional and Teacher Support Supports teachers in the delivery of instruction aligned with curriculum and learning objectives. Assists in creating and maintaining a positive learning environment that supports student engagement and academic progress. Provides academic assistance to students individually or in small groups during instructional and support times. Monitors student participation, engagement, and progress and shares observations with instructional staff. Reinforces instructional, behavioral, and engagement expectations aligned with school guidelines. Assists with instructional coverage or supervision during brief teacher absences or transitions as assigned. Administrative and Operational Support Provides administrative and operational support to campus leadership and instructional staff. Assists with documentation, data entry, tracking, and general record maintenance. Supports campus programs, initiatives, and instructional logistics as assigned. Assists with organizing, preparing, and distributing instructional materials and resources. Professional Responsibilities and Other Duties Maintains confidentiality of student, staff, and campus information. Communicates professionally and effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders. Collaborates with campus teams to support instructional and operational priorities. Performs additional duties as assigned to meet campus needs and support student success. Required Qualifications Educational Aide certification or the ability to obtain an Educational Aide Certificate from the State Board for Educator Certification within 90 days of employment. Ability to work well with students. Ability to maintain data on students. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. General knowledge of office equipment. High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Copy of high school diploma and OFFICIAL college transcripts from each college attended will be required upon employment. All positions at the university are security sensitive and a background check will be conducted on all new applicants hired. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications At least two years of experience.
