Position Overview
As a key member of our care team, the Medical Assistant supports clinical operations by preparing patients for exams, collecting vitals and lab samples, documenting health data, and assisting providers during routine procedures. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to exam rooms; prepare for provider visits.
- Collect and record vital signs, administer immunizations, perform blood draws, spirometry, EKGs, and other basic clinical procedures.
- Assist with in-clinic lab processing and coordinate external lab pick-up.
- Support providers during patient exams and procedures when needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR).
- Manage patient communications including follow-ups, lab inquiries, medication refills, and homecare instructions.
- Schedule referrals and diagnostic imaging, and coordinate specialist consults.
- Ensure exam rooms and clinical spaces are stocked, sanitized, and meet provider standards.
- Complete daily opening and closing checklists to ensure clinic readiness.
Additional Duties
- Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and skill development.
- Other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential recognized by the state of Utah.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Bonus if you have:

- Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
