What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Nurse Practitioner position at Utah Nurse Practitioners?
The advanced practice provider (APP) involves working with an electrophysiologist and Interventional Cardiologist in the cardiology clinic. This full-time role involves Monday-Friday outpatient work; no weekends or on-call at night are required. The APP focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders, including providing arrhythmia management, pre- and post-EP procedure follow-up care, patient education, and collaborating with the electrophysiologist to develop treatment plans. The APP will also manage common general cardiology disorders, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, and/or valvular disease. This role does not require device interrogation, and the device interrogation will be performed by the device clinic.
