Overview
Utah Golf Sim LLC is seeking an experienced and reliable subcontractor to install residential and light commercial golf simulator systems throughout Utah County, Salt Lake County, Wasatch County, and Summit County. This role covers the full install, mounting screens and projectors, setting up hitting turf and impact screens, running netting, and completing low voltage cabling for a clean, fully functional system. You'll be working directly in client homes and occasionally commercial spaces, so professionalism and clean finish work matter as much as technical skill. This is steady 1099 subcontract work with volume expected to grow as bookings increase.
Duties
- Install and mount golf simulator screens, projectors, and launch monitor sensors to manufacturer specifications
- Install hitting turf, impact screens, and netting systems for a safe, properly tensioned playing surface
- Run and terminate low voltage cabling for projectors, sensors, and audio components
- Mount and connect gaming PCs and simulator software hardware
- Test full system functionality after install, including projector alignment, sensor calibration, and screen tracking accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware issues on site before job completion
- Maintain clean, organized cable management and finish work throughout the install
- Communicate professionally and directly with clients on-site
Experience
- Active Utah DOPL low voltage systems license required
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in home theater installation, AV integration, low voltage contracting, or comparable precision installation work
- Comfortable reading basic wiring diagrams and manufacturer install guides
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and comfortable working independently inside client homes
- Prior experience with projector mounting and screen tensioning strongly preferred
