Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lease renewal process, including reviewing existing agreements, preparing renewal proposals, and executing contract extensions.
- Collaborate with vendors, tenants, and internal teams to negotiate lease terms that align with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough document management, ensuring all lease files are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable laws such as UCC law and federal acquisition regulations.
- Review contracts for legal accuracy, consistency, and adherence to compliance standards; draft amendments or new agreements as needed.
- Utilize contract management systems like Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), and other platforms to streamline workflows and maintain records.
- Perform research on market trends, pricing strategies, and legal updates to inform negotiations and strategic planning.
- Support vendor management initiatives by evaluating supplier performance, managing contractor relationships, and facilitating change management processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, or contract administration within a leasing or real estate environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal drafting, document review, and compliance management related to leases and contracts.
- Familiarity with intellectual property law, UCC law, federal acquisition regulations, and contractor management practices.
- Skilled in negotiation tactics with a track record of successful contract negotiations that benefit both parties.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems like PeopleSoft or similar platforms for document handling and record keeping.
- Excellent research abilities combined with strategic planning skills to support business development initiatives.
- Effective communication skills for proposal writing, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
