What You'll Do
As our Director of Development, you'll lead and grow a dynamic fundraising strategy that supports the organization's mission and long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with agency leadership, community partners, donors, and the Development Team to expand resources and elevate our impact.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Developing annual and multi-year fundraising plans
- Leading donor engagement, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and stewardship efforts
- Creating strategic campaigns with measurable goals and timelines
- Overseeing grant prospecting, writing, reporting, and compliance
- Supporting agency-wide strategic planning and community needs assessments
- Representing the agency at meetings, presentations, and special events
- Collaborating with leadership to strengthen program growth and sustainability
- Coaching and supporting the Development Team
- Bachelor's degree
- Nonprofit fundraising experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Grant development experience
- Public speaking and event planning experience
- Master's degree
- Experience leading strategic planning initiatives
- Professional communication and strong relationship-building skills
- Accountability, flexibility, and attention to deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing priorities
- Commitment to teamwork and community impact
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background and health screenings
- Compliance with agency personnel policies and Head Start requirements
