Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized bilingual individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant at Draper Chiropractic & Car Accident.
This entry level hybrid role is perfect for someone who is looking for a foot in door of the medical field. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the chiropractor with clinical tasks such as: helping with the application of modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound, electrotherapy), and educate patients about chiropractic care, treatment plans, and home exercises.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
- Manage office emails and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Handle patient intake forms and ensure that all documentation is completed accurately.
- Coordinate patient appointments and reminders, ensuring optimal scheduling for the chiropractor.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks like maintaining treatment records and organizing patient files.
- Ensure that the office is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for treatments.
- Help create social media campaigns
Skills
- Bilingual- English and Spanish are required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or chiropractic assistant is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interact professionally with patients and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment (phone systems, fax machines, computers).
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- A positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to assist with additional duties as needed.
