Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, go-getter In-House Sales Agent to drive revenue and deliver an outstanding customer experience across every touchpoint. In this role, you will engage customers over the phone, by email, by text, and in person, guiding them toward the products that best fit their needs while actively promoting the items and initiatives the company is focused on selling. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, persistent, and adaptable, with a natural ability to listen, build rapport, and close sales. This position may also require occasional travel to represent Utah Airguns at trade shows, competitions, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers across multiple channels — phone, email, text, and in person — to identify needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Practice active listening to understand each customer's goals, experience level, and preferences to provide tailored, knowledgeable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Utah Airguns' product catalog, including airguns, ammunition, optics, and accessories, and stay current on new arrivals.
- Actively promote and push the products and promotions the company prioritizes, aligning sales efforts with business goals and inventory needs.
- Follow up consistently with leads and prospective customers, demonstrating persistence to move sales toward closing.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Represent Utah Airguns as a brand representative at trade shows, competitions, and industry events, which may require travel.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, follow-ups, and sales activity.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless customer experience.
Qualifications & Skills

- Product knowledge in airguns, shooting sports, or a related field — or a strong willingness to quickly learn airgun products, features, and applications.
- Technical comfort with sales tools, point-of-sale systems, and basic office software.
- Willing and able to travel as needed to represent the company at events.
Required Hard Skills
- CRM software proficiency for logging leads, contacts, and follow-up pipelines.
- Point-of-sale (POS) system operation for processing transactions, quotes, and invoices.
- E-commerce and order management platform navigation (e.g., Shopify) to place, track, and troubleshoot online orders.
- Written communication tools for drafting professional sales emails, quotes, and follow-up correspondence.
- Basic office software, such as spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for tracking sales, goals, and pace-to-target, plus word processing.
- Sales metrics and reporting: the ability to read and work toward quotas, conversion rates, and sales reports.
- Phone and text sales tools, such as dialers, texting platforms, and call-logging systems.
- Payment processing, including credit card transactions and financing options, handled accurately.
- Regulatory and compliance awareness of shipping restrictions, age requirements, and applicable state and local rules for airgun sales.
- Trade show and event operations, including display setup, running product demos, and processing sales on mobile POS at events.
