Overview
The Continuing Education Department at The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging German Instructor to teach non-credit German language courses for adult learners. We are looking for an experienced educator or language professional who can create an interactive learning environment that helps students develop practical German language skills for personal enrichment, travel, academic pursuits, and professional development.
Courses may include Beginner, Intermediate, Conversational German, Total Immersion, Culture in Practice, German for Travelers, Business German, and customized workforce training programs.
- Teach German language courses to adult learners in classroom, online, or hybrid formats.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency.
- Create instructional materials and learning activities aligned with course objectives.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain attendance and course records as required by the Continuing Education Department.
- Incorporate German culture, customs, and current events into instruction.
- Collaborate with Continuing Education staff to support program growth and student success.
