JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Improvement Analyst II (QIA II) will serve as an intermediate-level analyst supporting the development and administration of a health system-wide quality and operational analytics. The work will maintain a focus on, but will not be limited to, patient experience and regulatory initiatives, such as Magnet or CMS requirements. Works close and direct supervision to produce intermediate-level analysis, analytics, reports, dashboards, and other resources in support of Health System Quality & Operational Excellence Department’s goals and objectives.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
Education
Associate's Degree in healthcare, computer science, nursing, or mathematics
Experience
2 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent years of work experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Preferred

JOB DUTIES
Design, develop, and automate clinical quality and performance metrics. Maintain knowledge base of data requirements and measure definitions.
Serve as a content expert for clinical quality measures by keeping current with national healthcare quality program guidelines.
Implements analytic approaches and technical methodology under supervision; executes work plan tasks as assigned.
Uses judgement to distinguish relevant from irrelevant information.
Uses factual data to produce and deliver credible and understandable reports.
Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and provide comprehensive analytical support for clinical performance improvement initiatives.
Extract, validate and summarize data from different large databases using data management and querying skills.
Analyze and organize data using appropriate analytical and statistical methods to efficiently track clinical processes and outcomes.
Assist in the interpretation of data to identify opportunities for improved healthcare delivery.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
