What are the responsibilities and job description for the POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER - Internal Medicine Cardiology - Tong Lab position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dan Tong, MD PhD, in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular conditions that are tightly associated with systemic metabolic disturbances, particularly heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and atrial fibrillation. Our laboratory https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/tong-lab uses animal models, cell systems, and clinical data to study the cellular and molecular alternations under disease conditions, with an eye toward translating these findings into innovative clinical solutions.

Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Experience in cardiovascular pathophysiology, or immunology, and bioinformatics leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
