What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor - Internal Medicine position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive & Liver Diseases, is seeking a faculty member with a focus on research. The position is for an instructor with in a basic science. The responsibilities include maintaining mouse colonies, overall lab management, and perform experiments. The position will entail performing biochemistry and signaling experiments as well as manuscript and grant writing. The instructor is expected to work independently to generate data for publication and assist the PI with progress reports and manuscript preparation. In addition, the faculty member will be involved in the teaching and training of students and trainees of various levels, including graduate and medical students, and clinical and post-doctoral fellows.
Successful applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least two years of research and animal experience in a postdoctoral researcher position.
