What are the responsibilities and job description for the Faculty Associate - Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist - Otolaryngology position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a full-time Faculty Associate Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist for the department of Otolaryngology.
The successful candidate should have training and at least three years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders, airway disorders (PVFM, Chronic Cough), and swallowing disorders. Expertise in laryngectomy management, TEP, and swallowing disorders in the head and neck cancer patient population is desired. Background in singing voice and its rehabilitation is preferred. Expertise in and affinity for gender affirming voice care is desired. Ability to independently perform Videostroboscopy, Modified Barium Swallow studies, FEES, and acoustic voice analysis is required. The successful candidate will work within a growing multidisciplinary team of laryngologists, H&N surgeons, and speech pathologists, and will see patients in both our Dallas and Frisco outpatient facilities. Additional responsibilities include educational outreach and participation in research. The candidate must have a master’s degree and must be eligible for or hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure from the state of Texas. No clinical fellows will be accepted for this position.
