Works under general supervision to provide skilled work involved in regular operation of automobile, van, or mini-bus in transportation of passengers to on-campus and off-campus locations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

- Education
Minimum 8th grade education
- Experience
2 years full-time paid experience in operation of various types of motor vehicles, such as vans, mini-buses, station wagons, etc.
- Licenses and Certifications
(DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE valid Texas Driver's License Upon Hire and
Upon hire, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for operating vehicles weighing 26,001 pounds or more and

JOB DUTIES
- Safely and respectfully transport whole-body donors from hospitals, hospices, residences, and other facilities to the designated location.
- Lift and maneuver deceased individuals weighing up to 150 pounds using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain complete and accurate vehicle operating records; report maintenance needs and mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Perform basic vehicle upkeep, including refueling, checking tire pressure, oil, water, and battery levels.
- May be cross-trained to:
- Respond to incoming death calls and assess donor eligibility.
- Coordinate logistics of whole-body donations.
- Communicate w/ and send consent documentation to next of kin.
- Assist Willed Body Program staff with various operational and clerical duties.
Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and procedural standards for donor handling and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold donor and family privacy at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
