What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adolescent/Young Adult (AYA) Pediatrician position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking outstanding adolescent medicine physicians for clinician-educator faculty positions on the Adolescent/Young Adult (AYA) Service Team at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health Dallas.
We are especially interested in applicants with interests and/or experience in teaching. Clinician-educator faculty will have ample opportunities to teach residents and medical students. Candidates must have completed an adolescent medicine fellowship and have a dedication to academic excellence. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and be board eligible or certified in Adolescent Medicine. Academic title will be commensurate with academic credentials.
Children’s Health is a state-of-the-art, 400 bed, free-standing facility that provides comprehensive care to the children of Dallas and surrounding areas. Children’s Health℠ includes clinics in Dallas and Plano, Texas. Physicians attend and consult on both the inpatient and ambulatory services, where they supervise and teach residents from the categorical pediatric residency training program and students from UTSW School of Medicine. Faculty in the Department of Pediatrics have a strong tradition of clinical and teaching excellence.
Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be board-eligible or certified in Pediatrics and in Developmental / Behavioral Pediatrics.
