Job Description
The Research Nurse Educator would primarily be responsible for facilitating the intervention implementation, review, summarize, and respond to participant questions, organize and schedule orientation and other meetings requested by cancer patients and their families, answer participant phone calls, monitor participant activities and progress throughout the study using the built-in web activity tracking program, and assist in preparing reports and publications. They will consult with the PI and the research team about clinical . The nurse will meet with the PI and project coordinator weekly and attend the monthly group project meetings.

Three (3) or more years of experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Teaches and supports courses of study for nurses to include professional development, which will qualify nurses to reactivate their license.
- Teaches and supports new skills in varying areas to ensure that nursing staff have the education and resources to be successful.
- Collaborates with others to support education, professional growth and practice change throughout the department.
- Participates in research and disseminates findings through educational programs, courses and other activities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
- Must demonstrate considerable knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures; health care laws and regulations; medical diagnoses and procedures; accepted medical treatment patterns; community health and nursing care principles, practices, and procedures; program regulations and procedures; and utilization review and control measures.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience with developing effective training materials and facilitating training. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree degree is required.
- Three (3) or more years of experience is required.
