Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for performing any combination of routine data entry, calculating, posting and verifying duties to support the coding function for Department of Radiology.
Responsibilities
On a daily basis will perform a variety of charge review and data entry tasks in the Epic, the electronic medical record.
Tasks Include But Are Not Limited To
b. Resolving referral source mismatch
c Identifying missing National Drug Codes
d. Applying coding modifiers in accordance with instructions
e. Assisting Radiology supervisor with review of non-coding related insurance follow up denials.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Detail oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner. Ability to monitor important and complex tasks concurrently. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to provide excellent customer service and to work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills
Three (3) years of related experience to include clinical setting is required. Medical/Dental coding experience is preferred.

- Resolving billing edits.
- Reviewing charges to validate if captured and updated to include all necessary claim information record.
