Responsibilities
- Makes and schedules appointments for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
- Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures.
- Coordinates day surgeries within the main surgery department.
- Maintains productivity logs for the department director.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Two to three years of work experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling.
