Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
preparing patients for oral examination
assisting the Dr. in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums
preparing tray setups for dental procedures
providing patient comfort
taking digital x-rays and digital scanning images
removing sutures
taking oral impressions
keeping patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
maintaining supply levels in each operatory
obtaining and updating medical history and / or records from patients
instructing patients on postoperative and general oral health care
recording patient charting and doctor notes
maintaining an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policy
