The USTA/Mid-Atlantic Foundation is seeking a full-time, exempt Senior Manager, Community Tennis to lead our schools-based strategy and community access initiatives. In this role, you will use a systems-based approach to expand tennis participation across the Mid-Atlantic region, leading a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to break down barriers to the sport.

Key Responsibilities- School Programs Strategy (60%): Develop and execute a comprehensive schools tennis strategy (K-12); build sustainable pathways from PE classes to community programs, with a heavy focus on Title I and underserved communities.
- Team Leadership & Program Oversight (20%): Directly manage and develop staff overseeing CTAs, NJTL chapters, Junior Team Tennis, and grant distribution/compliance.
- Advocacy & Community Access (10%): Serve as the primary lead for community-level access conversations with municipalities and school districts to reduce barriers to participation.
- Community Activations & Data Insights (10%): Leverage demographic and market data to drive strategic decisions; oversee high-impact community events and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and development teams.
Required:
- Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in community-based programming, youth development, education partnerships, nonprofit leadership, or sports participation growth.
- Partnership Building: Proven success working alongside school districts, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Data-Driven: Ability to use participation data and outcomes to guide investments and measure community impact.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred:
- Background in tennis, youth sports, parks & rec, or mission-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of USTA programs (NJTLs, JTT, CTAs) and experience with grant reporting.
- On-court tennis teaching or instructor-training experience.
- Location: Must reside in VA, WV, MD, or Washington D.C.
- Travel: Ability to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for meetings, workshops, and events (must have reliable transportation).
- Includes up to three (3) in-person all-staff offsite meetings per year.
