We're seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead automation and infrastructure modernization efforts. This role demands technical expertise in DevOps tools and AWS services, paired with strong leadership and ownership capabilities.

Compensation Range: $78,000-$117,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. You Are
We're seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead automation and infrastructure modernization efforts. This role demands technical expertise in DevOps tools and AWS services, paired with strong leadership and ownership capabilities.
The Opportunity
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, enabling fast, safe delivery of code.
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, incorporating best practices for scalability and modularity.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads in Amazon EKS, using Helm for configuration and lifecycle management.
- Architect and maintain core AWS services including IAM, VPC, security groups, subnets, and role-based access control.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability using SRE practices.
- Champion infrastructure reliability and security standards across the engineering organization.
- Drive documentation and knowledge sharing around tooling, standards, and workflows.
What You Need
- 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Deep understanding of Helm charts and Kubernetes workloads, especially on EKS.
- Solid grasp of AWS core services like IAM, networking, compute, and storage.
- Experience building fault-tolerant, highly available cloud-native systems.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and familiarity with version control (Git).
- Ability to lead technical discussions and drive decision-making across teams.
- Preferred Traits:
- Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience managing large-scale migrations or re-platforming projects.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bonus Points: Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer); Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
