The Role

Compensation Range: $94,000-$141,000

Senior Java Developer
The Role
UST is searching for an experienced Senior Java Developer with 7-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and Microservices.
- Build scalable REST APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Develop and maintain Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing.
- Implement secure and high-performance applications using Spring Security and Spring Boot.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
- Optimize database queries and improve application performance.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
What You Need
- Experience Range: 7-10 Years
- 7 years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework, and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring Security
- Spring IOC
- Spring AOP
- Hibernate/JPA
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful Web Services and Microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka for real-time messaging, event-driven architecture, and stream processing.
- Experience with Docker and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
- Strong understanding of Microservices design patterns and distributed systems.
- Experience in data analysis and data-driven solutions using SQL.
- Proficiency in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for sprint planning, tracking, and defect management.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
