POSITION: The Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessments and Authorization Branch Chief, serves in the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Cybersecurity Division and as Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for the Special Operations Forces Network Secret and Unclassified (SOFNET-S and SOFNET-U) Information Technology (IT) assets.
This is not a Supervisory Position. This position is not Key
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Serves as the Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework, Assessments and Authorization Branch Chief and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), providing leadership and direction for the Information Security (INFOSEC) Program.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities as a technical contractor officer representative (COR) for the Cybersecurity Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract.
- Performs Cyber Assurance serving as the Security Control Assessor (SCA) evaluating IT devices and networks utilizing processes and tools, including: Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Anti-Virus Program (AV), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Host Based Security System (HBSS), Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS), SGS/SNAP database registrations.
- Participates in Security Advisory Boards, discussions, meetings, committees, or special projects and presents briefings and prepares recommendations and reports.
- Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmic view point to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
