Lead a team of skilled information technology specialists at America's Innovation Agency! At the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), we're seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist in Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial Management Systems (OFMS). OFMS's work encompasses the full system development lifecycle (SDLC) including planning, requirements determination, design, development, testing, implementation, operations, and retirement.
Duties

- You have experience exercising supervisory responsibilities and authorities. Advises and provides counsel to subordinates regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- You have experience exercising leadership and managerial responsibility for all SDLC activities associated with automated systems to support USPTO-wide financial management functions
- You have experience advising senior executives on the direction and allocation of resources for operation and enhancement of financial management systems supporting business functions.
- You have experience serving as a central point of contact for all matters related to assigned IT product components, including cybersecurity, customer relationship management, and governance.

Qualifications
- Experience using the system development life cycle of new and existing financial management systems for an organization including the requirements, design, development, testing, installation, implementation, integrations and operational support of financial management systems.
- Experience communicating with senior employees to provide timely, authoritative and sound advice and recommendations on IT best practices and organizational change management.
- Experience supervising, planning, directing and executing IT programs for a multi-layered organization through subordinate staff and supervisors.
Education
Education may not be substituted for experience at this grade level.
