Duties

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts
• Drive assigned routes efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Manually handle heavy or bulky items with proper lifting practices to prevent injury and damage
• Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update route information, and communicate with dispatch teams
• Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management and material handling tasks
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable
• Proven delivery driver experience, especially with box trucks or courier services
• Experience operating commercial trucks or vans with manual transmissions is a plus
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling procedures in a workplace setting
• Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and adhering to traffic laws is essential
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and effectively
• Strong communication skills for using mobile devices and interacting courteously with customers and team members
