Now Hiring: Rural Carrier Associates (RCA) & Assistant Rural Carriers (ARC)

Rural Carrier Associates (RCA) are non-career employees who provide customers along rural routes with a variety of services, including delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and accountable mail, as well as selling stamps, postal supplies, and money orders. Desirable candidates may be required to have a vehicle suitable for use and live within an easy commuting distance of the facility.

Assistant Rural Carriers (ARC) are non-career employees who primarily deliver packages on weekends, holidays, and during periods of high mail volume. ARCs play an important role in supporting rural delivery operations by helping ensure timely package delivery.

This is a physically demanding position. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Employees may be required to load and unload trays, containers, and parcels weighing up to 70 pounds.

Work schedules vary based on operational needs. RCA positions are typically available on Saturdays and as needed to cover the absence of regular rural carriers. ARC positions are generally scheduled on weekends, holidays, and during peak package delivery periods.

This position requires an examination. Applicants who do not yet have an exam score may be invited to take the exam. The number of applicants invited to test or retest may be limited.
