Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)

Job Summary
The Associate Rural Carrier plays a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient mail delivery within designated rural routes. This position involves driving a vehicle to deliver packages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the integrity of the postal service. The ideal candidate will be dependable, possess strong driving skills, and have a commitment to serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Drive a designated route to deliver mail and packages to rural customers.
• Load and unload mail from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for packages and mail.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from customers.
• Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
• Assist in managing the logistics of route driving, including planning efficient delivery routes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload items safely.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigating rural areas is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Experience with commercial driving is a plus.
• Proficiency in operating a pallet jack and other loading equipment is beneficial.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles if needed.
• Personal vehicle is required. compensation will be paid

Pay: $21.42 - $22.14 per hour
