Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, following all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load, unload, and organize packages and mail using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Deliver parcels to customers along assigned rural routes with precision and professionalism.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving items to ensure efficient delivery operations.
- Conduct route driving efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting courteously with recipients and answering questions about deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for each route completed.
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures, is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks or
drivers with manual transmission. - Experience with heavy lifting, moving items, or working in a warehouse environment enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong driving skills with a clean record; experience with route driving preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and pallet jack use is advantageous.
