In this role, you will function as a highly skilled Laser Operator for the manufacturing of Wideband Saws (WB) on Day Shift. This position will help continue to improve the shop workflow to insure it is operating smoothly.

In this role, you will function as a highly skilled Laser Operator for the manufacturing of Wideband Saws (WB) on Day Shift. This position will help continue to improve the shop workflow to insure it is operating smoothly.
How You Will Make a Positive Impact
- Operate laser beam machine, which produces heat from concentrated light beam, to cut metal components to fulfill orders within quality specifications
- Uncoil steel to laser and set up the machine parameters for the gauge and width to meet order specifications
- Load files into computer system to program order specifications
- Prioritize and cut wideband saw orders while efficiently using material with minimum scrap Align rear mirror of laser cavity, using micrometer screws, according to chart’s specifications
- Utilize forklifts and cranes to load and unload steel safely
- Dispose of scrap
- Make focus and height adjustments of beam for alignment and general maintenance
- Balance manufacturing hours & manning to meet customer needs
- Maintain and track steel for inventory control
