Job Summary
The School of Marketing in the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants to apply for a nine-month position of Visiting Instructor of Marketing beginning in August 2026. This position is for the Hattiesburg campus and will support our growing face-to-face and online Marketing degrees, minors, and certificates. The successful candidate will provide instruction in undergraduate and potentially graduate courses, teach 12 semester credit hours per term, and participate in School events and functions. While this is a visiting appointment, renewal may be possible based on performance and budgetary approval. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

1. Teach four courses per semester (or equivalent) to be determined by the Director of the School. The successful candidate's teaching obligations will support the Marketing BSBA degree, minors, and certificate programs.
2. Primary teaching responsibilities will support the Marketing BSBA but may also include support of related programs.
3. The desired candidate will be willing and able to teach various Marketing courses, such as Principles of Marketing, Creative Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and others as needed.
4. Faculty are expected to maintain quality teaching (both online and in-person).
5. Faculty are expected to work well in a team environment and participate in School events and functions.
6. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring undergraduate students, recruitment, and other duties as assigned.
