Job Summary
The School of Social Science and
Global Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications
for a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor or Visiting Instructor of
Political Science to start August 2026. The position is focused on candidates
who can offer core courses in American politics, research methods and/or public
law.
Applicants
with experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body are encouraged to
apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach four courses per semester, fall and spring.
- Hold regular office hours.
- Mentor and advise students in the program.
- Attend faculty meetings as determined by the Director of the School of Social Science and Global Studies.
- Provide service to assist the functioning of the School, College, and University.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
