Receptionist for The Children's Center for Communication and Development must be patient, kind, and warm with everyone that they encounter.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the
United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The
University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).
Job Summary
Greets
incoming families, students, and University students as they enter The
Children’s Center. Provides
office/clerical support for The Children’s Center. Maintain site operational needs, including
organizing clinical and educational records and provide support for fundraising
endeavors as requested.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as first responder to all Center phone and in-person queries providing basic information; greets and ensures check-in/check-out procedures of children receiving therapies; receives in-coming deliveries.
- Performs clerical duties, as needed to assist Office manager, such as, scanning and filing (e.g., clinic files, contractual therapy notes), photocopying, mail pickup/delivery and running errands such as obtaining on campus signatures, making deposits, etc.
- Assists with creating, setting up, and breaking down developmentally appropriate activities, cleaning and disinfecting therapy materials, and assisting with classroom needs.
- Scans documents and maintains organization in the electronic health record system and any imaging software.These documents may include, but are not limited to, active and inactive client files, University student information, and personnel information.
- Assists Office Manager by serving as resource person for students, staff, and parents pertaining to upcoming programs, updates and maintains lobby bulletin boards, etc.
- Purchases Children’s Center classroom supplies at local off-campus stores as needed.
- Completes other duties, as assigned.
