Job Summary
The Project Manager/Trainer will be responsible for advancing a person-centered system of care in Mississippi by providing training, consultation, and curriculum development to Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) providers. The individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the initiative and ensure training and coaching is consistent with the Person-Centered Planning philosophy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver a defined curriculum focused on person-centered planning and systems of care.
- Design and implement Person-Centered Planning training with Medicaid Waiver programs and partner agencies.
- Assess general and specific training needs using adult learning theory principles.
- Contribute to the overall strategic planning and development of the Person-Centered Planning initiative and the Mississippi Training Institute.
- Provide regular coaching and onsite and virtual technical assistance support to providers involved in the Person-Centered Planning process.
- Develop ongoing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through internal, state, and local work groups.
- Support the research/evaluation and policy components of the Person-Centered Practices Initiative.
- Coordinate state and local implementation meetings.
- Prepare technical assistance reports and devise quality improvement plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
