Job Summary
Paints University buildings, areas, equipment, and furniture with hand brushes, rollers, and sprayers to include mixing, blending, and matching of paints and stains.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Paints University buildings, areas, equipment, and furniture with hand brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Mixes, blends, and matches paint and stains to proper color and consistency.
- Determines sequences of paint operations and methods utilized; provides advise for scaffolding, rigging, color blending, equipment recommendations, materials needed, and areas to be painted according to work orders.
- Estimates time and cost for painting jobs.
- Finishes sheetrock, plaster and lathe, walls and ceilings in preparation for painting.
- Performs such typical operations as applying decorative and/or protective finish coats to mill-work.
