Job Summary
Install,
maintain, and troubleshoot local area networks, voice and data endpoints,
cabling plants and communication rooms, analyze and fix network-related
problems reported by users.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Activates network and telephone jacks, configuring network switches and analog voice gateways as needed.
- Provides tier two support for network, telephony, and IP video infrastructures, which includes monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
- Performs moves, adds, and changes of communication endpoints utilizing work order support system.
- Assists network/telephony administrators and engineers in resolving complex voice and data communications issues within the enterprise network.
- Maintains documentation of network and telephone jacks, endpoints, e911 locations, and inside and outside cable plants.
- Maintains and increases technical knowledge through coursework, workshops, seminars, readings, and cross training with other team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned
