Job Summary
Performs general carpentry work to include lay out, construction, repair, and renovation on all USM buildings.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs general carpentry work in the construction, repair, and renovations of floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and screens from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions and replaces damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and equipment as assigned.
- Selects, cuts, trims, and processes lumber as specified using hand and power tools and woodworking machines such as power saws, band saws, jointers, planes, and drill presses.
- Sand cabinets, worktables, and other wooden articles.
