Special Instructions to Applicants
Applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach all areas of management are currently
being accepted and will be reviewed as needed. Applicants should indicate in
their cover letter which campus or teaching sites (Hattiesburg and/or Long
Beach) they are willing to accept in these interim assignments.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the
United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The
University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).
Job Summary
Adjunct faculty members provide face-to-face, hybrid, and online course
instruction including all aspects of course administration as an instructor of
record.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to class schedules as posted.
- Communicate course requirements to students.
- Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed.
- Be available to assigned students for support and course advising including exams, required remediation, and summative evaluations.
- Be collaborative with other CBED faculty as well as the Director to plan, implement, and evaluate each course offering taught to maintain quality and effectiveness.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the CBED and the University of Southern Mississippi.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
