Your Role: You will work closely with underwriters and underwriting assistants to support the binding of insurance, as well as collaborate with insurance agents and brokers to service policies and follow-up on underwriting information. This role encourages professional development, provides opportunities for growth, and emphasizes building your insurance acumen for long-term advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure the best possible outcome for all inquiries while minimizing touches and providing excellent customer service
• Application evaluation: Evaluate applications, web search results, and business quotes via the web with guidance from coaches and leaders
• Binder preparation: Gather information and approval where necessary to prepare binders for delivery to customers
• Critical thinking: Apply critical thinking, problem solving and an underwriting mindset to all accounts
• Professional development: Pursue growth and development opportunities through USLI University, continuing education, workshops, and classes
• Process improvement: Communicate ideas for procedural or workflow improvement
• Reporting: Complete departmental specific reports or projects, including daily follow-ups and research on Bound Not Issued items
• Product knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of all products handled within the specific Underwriting Assistant Team. Additional opportunities for cross-training available long-term
• Inter-departmental understanding: Understand inter-departmental relationships and the duties of each, including Policy Issuance, Underwriting Services, Billing, and Underwriting
• Relationship Building: Develop and strengthen customer relationships by delivering excellent service via phone and email communication, while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

• Education: College degree or equivalent business experience required

Salary Range: $56K - $62K
