What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at USLI?
Your Role: You’ll be the hands-on expert who keeps our facilities running smoothly. From completing day-to-day repairs to performing preventative maintenance, your work will ensure our spaces are safe, clean and functional. You’ll take on a variety of tasks — fixing plumbing and electrical issues, inspecting building systems, assembling furniture, and jumping in quickly when something needs attention. This role is active, physical and essential to the daily operation of our workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections: Evaluate interior and exterior areas of the building and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance needs
- Monitor building systems: Ensure ongoing performance of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
- Complete repairs and maintenance: Perform day-to-day fixes and preventative maintenance to minimize disruptions
- Install and assemble equipment: Set up workstations, standing desks and other workplace furniture and equipment
- Respond to urgent issues: Provide prompt support for emergency maintenance requests and unexpected concerns
- Coordinate with vendors: Work with third-party service providers and the property manager for larger repairs
- Support workspace transitions: Move furniture, prepare rooms and assist with internal space setup and changes
- Track project updates: Maintain clear records of work progress, system status and repair needs
- Maintain safety compliance: Ensure that all tasks follow workplace safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications:
- Maintenance experience: 5 years of building maintenance experience across key systems and repairs
