USIlluminations (USI) provides energy-efficient lighting and energy management to commercial sites regionally, locally, and nationally.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to install smart thermostats in retail locations. The right candidate will also be involved with light indoor construction projects in an industrial setting. This role requires extensive travel to client sites. You will blend electrical work and troubleshooting with hands-on mechanical installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure smart thermostats and automation devices.
- Perform light construction in an industrial setting, utilizing hand tools, ladders, and lift equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and low-voltage HVAC control systems.
- Travel extensively to various regional and national project locations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring and circuitry.
- HVAC experience: Basic understanding of thermostats and HVAC systems.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix hardware/wiring issues.
- Hand Tool Proficiency: Experience with basic hand tools and portable power tools.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Driver's License: Clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
