Join Us as a Material Handler.We’re looking for a skilled Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring that raw materials, machined parts, and components are staged, transported, and delivered to the right locations — safely and on time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipmentAccurately and efficiently gather necessary material according to the provided work orderSafely load and unload material at work centers within the production areaSPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:Performs tasks to transport, store, load, and unload materials within the manufacturing areasEnsures production areas are supplied with required material to complete jobsUtilizes fork trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and other material-moving equipment safely at all timesMaintains fork truck daily check sheets by inspecting each at the start of the shiftNotifies the appropriate parties when maintenance is needed on the lifting equipmentChanges propane tanks for forklifts when needed; ensures safe storage of propane in appropriate areaRefers inventory issues to leaders to be corrected immediatelyPerforms regular cycle counts of parts and materials to ensure readiness for work ordersAssists within the Shipping, Receiving, and/or Inventory Control Areas when neededGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practicesWillingly performs other duties as trained and ableRVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Not ApplicableEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Must possess a verifiable high school diploma or equivalency (GED)Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCERTIFICATES, LICENCES, & REGISTRATIONS:OSHA Forklift certification is desired but not requiredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Must possess a verifiable high school diploma or equivalency (GED)Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCERTIFICATES, LICENCES, & REGISTRATIONS:OSHA Forklift certification is desired but not requiredUshers Machine and Tool Co., Inc. /Aalberts surface technologies - machining solutions is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
