Job description:
USGP has an opportunity for a PHARMACIST to provide services to our military service members, their families, and veterans within the NAVAL BRANCH HEALTH CLINIC, Albany, GA.

Schedule: M-F between 6am-9pm & Saturday between 730am-430pm
Qualifications:
- Degree/Education: Bachelors of Pharmacy Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Must have an active BLS through American Heart Association or military program
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 6 months of full-time experience as a Pharmacist in the preceding 12 months,
- Board Certification: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
Job Duties:
To include but not limited too:
- Work closely with clinical staff in developing patient wellness programs such as smoking cessation programs and asthma classes.
- Provide clinical guidance of corpsmen and pharmacy technicians.
- Provide medication information to the clinical staff as required, including in-service training on new medications on the market; appropriate use of medications; comparison of current medication therapies; and other topics as deemed appropriate by the department head.
- Utilize pharmacy electronic health record (EHR) computer and robotic systems for dispensing medications, document patient care and review patient care rendered by medical providers in other clinics or MTFs in accordance with MTF protocols.
- Perform a full range of pharmacist duties in outpatient practice settings.
- Consult with other specialty practitioners who have been referred for pharmaceutical services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to perform the accurate and timeliness entry of records, encounter closures within 72-hours, reports, and documentation, both written and electronic communication of all information, as appropriate, to include pain patient agreements, pharmacotherapeutic treatment findings and recommendations.
- Ensure that work areas are clean and safe according to applicable regulations.
- Document significant medication interactions, and pharmacy interactions with
prescribers.
- Renew medications for patients in accordance with policies and procedures approved by the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee
