IT Dev Ops Intern

Position Summary

IT Intern role assists in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures. Document changes, issues, and solutions in the knowledge base. Conduct routine checks and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth system operations. Supports Senior DevOps personnel in executing projects. Actively participates in project standup and training sessions to learn about USG-specific applications, tools, and technologies. Learn DevOps toolchain at USG and help in CI/CD process. Assist in on-going applications administration streamlining activities.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

Job Knowledge (Technical Focus)

• Participate in self-paced/knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous learning opportunities
• Work under the supervision of senior DevOps member, accepting guidance and constructive feedback to improve skills and knowledge
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and feedback
• Participates in product evaluation, product installation, and product upgrade efforts
• Supporting senior DevOps staff in implementing new IT solutions
• Learn and assist in automating deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Azure Pipeline
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, and participate in build, release, and deployment processes
• Develop scripts to streamline and automate system and application maintenance tasks using Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues around application and server configurations
• Assists in the administration and maintenance of Applications
• Interest in learning and writing automated QA tests (unit, regression, API and UI) and incorporating them into CI/CD Pipeline
• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning algorithms using libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Support the research, development, and testing of AI/ML proof-of-concept projects within a collaborative team environment
• Assist in gathering, cleaning, and exploring datasets relevant to current AI/ML use cases and/or projects
• Collect, preprocess, and analyze data for use in machine learning models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and automation solutions into a Sandbox environment
• Assist in researching new techniques in AI/ML for improving accuracy and performance
• Contribute to the documentation of project findings, workflow processes, and experimental results
• Research new technologies or AI/ML usecases that could benefit the company
• Help conduct training sessions for end-users on new technologies or processes
• Follow company protocols and standards in all tasks

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
