Job Summary
Seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, implement, and optimize solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enhance IT service management and operational workflows. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot platform issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.
While the intent may be a long-term engagement, this position is subject to annual budget approvals. The initial contract extends through the current fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed on July 1st.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including customizations and integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business requirements.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform enhancements and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and actively participate in technical design discussions.
- Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to improve IT operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
- Strong expertise with ServiceNow platform development, configuration, and integration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow APIs and REST/SOAP web service integrations.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, workflows, and automation.
- Proven experience with:
- ITSM (IT Service Management)
- CSM (Customer Service Management / PSDS)
- HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
- FSM (Field Service Management)
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
- Additional ServiceNow certifications highly preferred
