Job Title: Arborist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Arborist to join our team. The Arborist will be responsible for the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs to ensure their health, safety, and aesthetic value. This role involves tree pruning, removal, planting, and diagnosing tree diseases and pests. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of arboriculture techniques and industry best practices, with a passion for maintaining healthy urban and natural environments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removals using proper arboricultural techniques.

· Identify tree species, assess health conditions, and diagnose pests and diseases.

· Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, climbing equipment, and other arborist tools.

· Safely climb trees using ropes and harnesses or operate aerial lift equipment.

· Plant new trees and provide recommendations on species selection and placement.

· Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as necessary.

· Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.

· Communicate with clients or officials to explain tree care and management recommendations.

Qualifications:

Required:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 3 years of experience in arboriculture, forestry, or a related field.

· Experience with tree identification and biology.

· Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.

· Strong knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation.
