Maintenance Technician - 1.0 FTE
District Wide
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Position Purpose: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining district equipment to ensure a productive use of district facilities.
Starting Salary: $19.76/hour (commensurate with experience)

Required Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial maintenance work
· Good general knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems
· Experience with roofing and general roof repair
· Experience with sheetrock installation, sheetrock repair, and painting
· Must be able to read and understand general facility blueprints
· Ability to work independently without supervision
· Valid driver’s license and ability to drive district vehicle
· Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test
· Must pass standard strength and agility test
Completion of clear, criminal background check
Physical Requirements & Conditions:
· Requires prolonged sitting or standing
· Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
· Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching
· Requires working off ladders and lifts, up to 36 feet
· Must work in noisy and crowded environments
· Must work indoors and outdoors year round
Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors
Pay: From $19.76 per hour
